One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is connecting people with books that help them feel seen. Over the years, I've curated this collection because these are the books I find myself returning to again and again for myself, for my clients, and for the conversations they continue long after a therapy session ends.

The books I've chosen reflect many of the themes we explore together in therapy: understanding relationship patterns, healing from childhood experiences, navigating trauma, strengthening parenting relationships, practicing self-compassion, and learning to approach ourselves and others with greater curiosity instead of judgment. They draw from attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma research, mindfulness, relational psychology, and lived experience—perspectives that beautifully complement psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Whether you're working to build healthier relationships, parent with more intention, make sense of family dynamics, heal from emotional wounds, or simply understand yourself more deeply, I hope you'll find a book here that speaks to where you are right now. Some offer practical tools, while others invite quiet reflection. Many do both.

I don't believe there's one book that changes everyone's life. I do believe that the right book, at the right time, can help us find words for experiences we've carried alone, offer a new way of understanding old patterns, and remind us that healing is possible.
